5th
Annual Bow Wow Howl-O-Ween Hustle
Event Raises more than $9,000
A Dog-Gone Great Time
It's true that every dog has his day and that day
happened to be Saturday, October 13, 2007 for many
of our area canines. The Ellis County SPCA held the
5th Annual Bow Wow Howl-O-Ween Hustle on Saturday
and would like to thank all of the dogs and their
humans who joined us for a wonderful day of fun in
the park.

The
event kicked of with either a 1 or 2 mile fun
run, and then the entertainment
really got going as we held
several different costume
contests, best trick for
a treat, most expressive
eyes contests, and fastest
tail in Texas. Add all that
to some fun loving dogs (and
their parents) with a morning
filled with perfect weather
? who could ask for anything
more.
Our Waxahachie shelter has
been aiding and adopting
homeless animals since 2004
and has placed hundreds of
dogs and cats into loving
homes.
We have dreams of expanding our facility in the coming years as we continue to
care for the thousands of homeless animals in our community. The generous support
of individuals and sponsors during events like the Bow Wow significantly adds
to our ability to save the lives of animals in need of a second chance to find
a forever home.
We are so appreciative of the support we received with participation and sponsorships
for this event. We raised more than $9,000.00 that went directly back into the
shelter to help all of homeless animals in Ellis County.
We would like to thank the sponsors of this event that contributed almost $7,000
to our event: Hill?s Pet Nutrition; Jeff Kosoris, DDS; Waxahachie Newspapers,
Inc.; Citizens National Bank; The City of Waxahachie; Bow Wow Barbers; Marshall
